The SLCP held a hugely successful Looked After Children Providers’ Network Event on the 22nd May 2019 at the Croydon Conference Centre.  The purpose of the event was to strategically plan for the improvement of services for children and young people in care using a partnership and collaborative approach.

The event was well-attended with over 130 representatives from a range of providers including residential, foster care, semi-independent and educational.

It was an event not to be missed with high profile speakers such as Sir Michael Narey, Chairman of My Foster Family, Andy Leary-May, (Chief Executive) and Marie Tucker, (National Associate of Fostering Providers (NAFP) sharing their extensive knowledge and insight.

The exciting and varied agenda, including National Trends & Key Messages from Independent Fostering Providers, Children & Young Peoples Engagement, and Partnership Working and Priorities for Residential Care & Fostering, ensured the conference was interesting and informative, and feedback was extremely positive.

Further events are planned for later in the year – check back for announcements!
